As wedding photographers, we're drawn to Peterborough's unique character - it's a place where couples can have their ceremony in one of England's finest cathedrals, then celebrate surrounded by water meadows and ancient landscapes. The city gives us incredible variety within a compact area, which means more time celebrating and less time travelling between locations.

Peterborough Cathedral remains one of our favourite ceremony venues. The Norman architecture and soaring spaces create naturally dramatic photographs, while the cathedral grounds offer quieter spots for couple portraits. The contrast between the ancient stonework and your modern celebration creates something really special in photographs.

For couples wanting outdoor elements, Ferry Meadows is exceptional. The lakes, woodland, and open spaces work beautifully for group shots and couple portraits. We often use the area around Gunwade Lake for its reflections and the wooded areas for more intimate shots. The Nene Valley Railway nearby adds another dimension if you want something with vintage character.

Flag Fen offers something completely different - this Bronze Age site provides a unique backdrop that many couples haven't considered. The boardwalks over the wetlands and the archaeological setting create photographs that stand out from typical wedding albums.

The city itself shouldn't be overlooked. Peterborough's mix of historic buildings and modern spaces means we can adapt to any style of celebration. Whether you're planning something traditional, contemporary, or completely unconventional, we'll find locations that work.

We operate from our Papworth Everard studio, about 40 miles from Peterborough. This means we know Cambridgeshire thoroughly - not just the obvious spots, but the hidden corners that photograph beautifully. We visit locations beforehand to plan the best shots and timing, especially important somewhere like Ferry Meadows where light changes dramatically throughout the day.

What sets our approach apart is understanding how each location works practically. Peterborough Cathedral has specific requirements for photography during ceremonies. Ferry Meadows gets busy with families at certain times. Flag Fen has seasonal considerations. We plan around these factors so your day flows smoothly.

You'll receive a full gallery of professionally edited images, typically delivered within six weeks. We don't limit the number of photos artificially - if it happened and it looked good, it's included. Albums and prints are available, printed to gallery standards using archival materials.
