There's nowhere quite like Cambridge for wedding photography. The city gives us an incredible range of locations within walking distance of each other, from the world-famous silhouette of King's College Chapel to the tranquil meadows that inspired centuries of poets and scholars.

The Backs remain our most popular spot for couple portraits. The view across the River Cam towards the colleges creates that perfect blend of grandeur and romance, especially during golden hour when the limestone glows warm against the water. We often start here for the formal shots, then wander towards Grantchester Meadows for something more relaxed and natural.

For larger group photos, Parker's Piece offers wonderful open space with the city as your backdrop, while Midsummer Common provides beautiful tree-lined avenues that photograph beautifully in any season. Cherry Hinton Hall gives us gorgeous gardens and historic architecture if you're looking for something a bit more intimate and sheltered.

Many of our Cambridge couples choose college venues for their ceremonies, particularly King's College and Trinity College. We've photographed countless weddings in these stunning settings and know exactly how to work within their guidelines while still getting those shots that truly represent your day. The combination of soaring Gothic architecture and perfectly manicured courtyards creates images with real impact.

What makes Cambridge special for wedding photography isn't just the famous buildings though. It's the way the ancient and modern blend together, creating countless opportunities for variety within a single shoot. One moment we're capturing you against medieval stonework, the next we're finding beautiful natural light filtering through riverside willows.

We're based at our Waterbeach studio, just five miles from the city centre, which means we know Cambridge intimately. We understand the best times to visit each location, where to find parking on busy days, and how to avoid the tourist crowds that can sometimes overwhelm the most popular spots.

Our approach is simple: we want your photos to feel authentically you, just set against some of the most beautiful architecture in England. We're not interested in stiff poses or forced smiles. Instead, we focus on capturing the genuine emotions and connections that make your wedding day unique. Cambridge provides the stunning backdrop, but you provide the story.
